So, I catch this oddity on the interstate the other day. Since its out of the realm of my experience, what is going on? Did he buy a set of rims with the stretched street tires and now is going to have the All-Terrains installed? Is the truck coming back from the custom shop and the last thing to do is put the A/T’s on it? Is this even an off-road suspension kit?  License tag indicates its from one of our Alabama rural counties, so I’m guessing Bro Dozer conversion in process.

I’ve been seeing this more recently. I think it’s on purpose. It’s like a stance bro and a brodozer bro had a baby

I’ll add the second pic didn’t load until after my comment posted. No clue about the tires in the back

This is an intentional thing, some sort of recent weird cross-breedin g of stance and bro truck culture. At least they’re not kidding themselves on takin g their truck off-road?

Easily the top three dumbest trends: “over” stancing , cambering so aggressively and stretching tires.

I bet they also do immoral things with their family members

Ya know, I typically keep my comments to myself, but I just can’t today. Yes, it’s stupid. No, I don’t like the look. But the comments by others in this post involving incest simply because of this person’s choices are tactless and serve no purpose on this blog . I live in the south Mississippi . I have lived in the south a ll my life. I don’t agree with a lot of what goes on down here, but I am still a southerner and take offense to hateful an d tasteless st ereotypes like that . It’s bullshit and those who brought it up should feel bad for it. This is Oppo, a community of different backgrounds here for a common cause . We all need to be reminded of that sometimes. Sorry to have to get all this out on your post, but it needed saying.

I think I have a more inclusive view of this sort of thing. It may not be for me, but as long as its not overtly dangerous to other drivers, then have at it. Now when it comes to body lifts using hockey pucks, or doing dumb things that affect the suspension geometry to where it becomes dangerous to be on the road, I’m against it. What caught my eye at first of course was the roller skate look of this Toyota coming up from behind, so I snapped the rear-view mirror shot. Then I saw the load of knobby tires in the rear and it got me to pondering about what the deal was. I know I’ve seen people put lifted trucks on street tires because they wouldn’t otherwise fit on a lift or in a garage at full ride height.

I’ll give these guys the benefit of the doubt, as long as they don’t act like asshats. Lord knows when I was a kid, I drove a car that really didn’t suit my personality but I loved the look and it was iconic for the time and place. I drove a 2nd gen Trans Am and got all sorts of attention. I was not a drinking, hell raising kid. I just thought it was a beautiful car. I still love them.

Its the big fad in lifted trucks nowdays. Stretched street tires on lifted trucks. Ricers have moved on from hondas unfortunately.
